The main event of this competition is the finals in the skateboard. Other finals are also famous, but the focus of the contest is a skateboard, and it attracts the largest crowd each year. Two finals in skateboarding happen every year as the athletes are divided into two groups, amateurs, and professionals.
Amateurs do their tricks at the same location as professionals, and the rules for both events are the same. The first part of the event is the qualifiers that lead to finals in the case of amateurs. Finals in the amateur group are finished on the same day as qualifiers.
The professional skateboarding event spans over two days at the end of the whole competition. The first day is the qualifiers where almost half of the athletes end their part. The final day of the competition is the day when semi-finals and finals in skateboarding happen.
The semi-finals are in the morning while the finals are in front of a large stage in the evening during last few hours of the competition. The announcement of the winner in the skateboarding is a part of the closing ceremony that happens an hour or two after the professionals end their skateboarding event.
